Bilbao is a thriving cosmopolitan city open to Europe. It has undergone large scale environmental and urban renewal since the 90s with the Guggenheim Museum as its flagship building. Despite its industrial character, the live rhythm of the city and the warm-hearted welcome of its inhabitants make it a place where students find they quickly feel at home. The city is well connected, with its own airport and surrounding motorways, rail and bus lines. Bilbao’s geographical location has a lot to offer to sea lovers and mountain enthusiasts alike. The nearby coastal areas are ideal for water sports such as surfing, windsurfing, diving and sailing.
The Campus has a privileged location in the heart of Bilbao, opposite the Guggenheim Museum on the right bank of the Nervion River.
San Sebastian, chosen European Capital of Culture for 2016, is considered by many to be the world’s most beautiful city. The bay, with La Concha Beach and the artistic sculpture called "El Peine del Viento" are its main landmarks. The San Sebastian International Film Festival, 'Jazzaldia', 'Musical Fortnight' or "Tamborrada" are some of its most important cultural events. The Old Quarter of San Sebastian is one of the best places to taste the local cuisine ranging from the famous 'pintxos' to the best author cuisine restaurants.
The Campus is located on the Paseo of Mundaiz on the banks of the "Urumea" and in the area surrounding the Cristina-Enea Park, forms a 32,000 m2 university complex, right in the heart of the city.
