Master Data Driven Design at HU Utrecht

Our Data-driven Design programme is for you if you want to know how to combine domain knowledge with creativity, digital skills and analytical capabilities - and act upon these competences to design concepts, products and services that are capable to thrive in a continually changing digital society.

The year-long programme is divided into four ten-week blocks, during which you follow courses from each learning track - Concepts, Technology and Human. The courses of each block are linked through an assignment that brings all knowledge and skills together. In the last block you work on your graduation project.

Master Data Driven Design at HU Utrecht: Career

Completion of the programme is rewarded with the title Master of Arts in Data Driven Design. This degree opens the door to an exciting international career.
This programme is developed in response to strong demand from businesses, and to global developments. When graduated, you will be a “digital creative” in the true sense of the word – you will have acquired the skills you need to become a professional pioneer in the digital transformation process.

Because of your extensive conceptual knowledge of data science and business models, you will be able to play a leading role in the transformation toward data-driven design in any organisation. Your skills and knowledge will be a great boost to your job opportunities. To a large extent, job titles that adequately describe the roles applicable to you still need to be invented.

Master Data Driven Design at HU Utrecht: Admission

Computer literacy skills:
 

• Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Some experience with a programming language (e.g. JavaScript or Processing).
• Ability to solve computer problems by searching for solutions (e.g. StackOverflow).

Language skills:

All students, except for students with a relevant Dutch diploma, must prove that they have good writing and conversation skills in English. During the matching day we will review your English skills through your presentation and writing assignment.
