Mechatronics - Smart Technologies at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®

The MCI Master’s degree program in Mechatronics & Smart Technologies provides technical training with a strong international and practical focus. With its areas of specialization in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, the program is an ideal opportunity for you to build or advance an international career. In order to meet the requirements of modern study, the Master’s degree is offered both full-time and part-time. It is available in German and English and provides several options for study abroad.

 

The MCI Master’s degree program in Mechatronics & Smart Technologies  is designed for future technology leaders looking to take on a position in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or simulation. Master Mechatronics - Smart Technologies at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School®: Admission

Applications for admission are accepted on a rolling basis. The required documents are to be submitted online. Applicants are welcome to apply for multiple programs of study, as long as a plausible rationale is given. The final decision may be taken by the end of the application procedures.

 

Requirements

The Master program in Mechatronics & Smart Technologies is open to graduates of Bachelor and Diploma programs in the fields of engineering/engineering science or natural sciences whose curricula involve at least 75 relevant ECTS points. The decision on the acceptability of prior qualifications is taken by the Program Director.


This Master program is an ideal follow-on such Bachelor programs as Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering & Management, as well as Environmental Engineering, Process & Energy Engineering. Admission will also be considered for graduates of study programs whose curricula correspond to the prerequesites mentioned above in the field of Production Engineering, Automation Technology, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Engineering and Electrical Engineering.


Information for graduates whose previous degree is based to a significant extent on formally acknowledged recognition of prior learning:

In this case it may be possible that the legal and/or degree specific admission requirements are not or only partly fulfilled. Please consider the relevant legal regulations for this instance (§ 4 Abs 4 iVm § 12 FHStG). We will gladly provide further information and consultation via email or phone (admissions@mci.edu; Ext. 1621).


Recognition of previous qualifications in the master program:

Applications for recognition of examinations or credits obtained through other study programs or previous scientific experience must be submitted to the Program Director. A decision will only be taken in cases where the application for admission has met with a positive decision. Recognition of credits or previous experience is only granted for individual classes in the program.
