Unlike the MBA, which is a general and introductory course for professionals, who are seeking to upgrade their education and qualify for leadership positions, the Master of Science in Business Administration is the follow-up progamme of the BSc in Business Administration. This Masters programme is geared for students, wanting to deepen their knowledge in the field of business studies and economics. The programme enables you to specialise in two or three sub-disciplines, such as Billing and Accounting, Management Theories, Finance, Entrepreneurship or Marketing and Sales Strategies.
This follow-up degree in business requires an undergraduate degree in business administration. It usually lasts 12 months (full-time). Unlike the Master of Business Administration (MBA), many universities do not require work experience as a prerequisite.
With a Masters degree in Business Administration, a more focused degree than the MBA, you will qualify for managerial positions, respective of your specialisations. For instance, by having focused on finance and marketing, you can become the manager of the finance or marketing business function of the company, but you can also accomplish chief executive positions.
