European Law is an academic discipline based on the diverse legal systems on the European continent and more importantly, the European Union. With a Masters degree in this area you will understand the principles of National Law and how it is conducted. In addition, you will spend several hours on courses in Comparative Law, as well as studying about the EU – its history, development and influence.
Your study content will include several interesting topics regarding different legal aspects on a national and international level – from Constitutional to Contract Law. You will learn about the differences and similarities among a variety of, for example, the judicial systems of a number of European countries. The impact of the European Union, its legal institutions and legislation will take a vital part of your course.
Generally, if you are interested in enrolling for a Master of European Law, you will be expected to present a successfully completed Bachelor in the area of Law. Due to the international aspect of your studies you will also have to present good language skills, preferably in English.
