Taught Masters

Differentiating between Taught and Research degree is a specialty of the British education system. If you are interested in obtaining a Master’s degree in the UK, then a Taught degree might be a good option for you.

Taught degree is a type of postgraduate study, which doesn’t differ much from the undergraduate programs. Students, who choose this educational form, take part in lectures, seminars or diverse practical works. During your studies, you might also need to prepare your own research project.  However, the difference from the Research Masters is that taught students participate in different courses and are evaluated for their performance in each. 

Graduating usually takes one year as a full-time study. Although, part-time options are available for many study programmes, depending on the institution and the programme itself. 

After successful completion of Taught Masters you can be awarded as Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Business Administration (MBA), depending on the field of study.
